Los chicos del grupo de G-Funk mexicano están de regreso con nuevo sencillo titulado “Banquetera” acompañados de Simpson Ahuevo para lo que es su segundo sencillo de su próximo álbum. Hablamos con Poofer y Lokiuno de la agrupación acerca de este nuevo sencillo y de los planes de la West Gold para este año.
Primero comenzamos hablando de su posicionamiento como agrupación, el lugar que creen que toman dentro de la escena del rap mexicano y queda claro que ellos ven su música como un escape de la cotidianidad tanto para ellos como para sus escuchas, dentro del poner como primer lugar el propósito de fiesta como uno de los que cumplen, Poofer comenta que también funciona “Para la gente que va al trabajo y pone la West Gold y se olvida un ratito de sus problemas”, Lokiuno complementa su respuesta con un “Imaginate “Banquetera” en medio del tráfico… si hace el paro”. Actualmente estan terminando de preparan lo que será su siguente álbum, terminando de cerrar fechas y de seleccionar sencillos pero aseguran que el proyecto vera la luz este año.
Cuando les pregunto qué tan involucrado está el alcohol en sus reuniones laborales o planeaciones de la West Gold, Lokiuno empieza a decir “Todo empieza el jueves antes de viajar…” pero Poofer lo interrumpe para decirle “¡Tu cola! Todos los días” y me comienzan a contar anécdotas recientes en las que la fiesta los ha sorprendido recientemente. Primero que Lokiuno recientemente se quedo pisteando hasta el amanecer con unos viejitos pescadores, la cuál fue una velada al parecer bastante agradable y segundo que en una fiesta privada que tocaron recientemente, un señor empezó a derribar una puerta a las altas horas de la puerta porque le habían robado un celular… cosas que definitivamente sucederían mientras “Banquetera” suena de fondo…
