El rapero de Puebla, Gayo Valdez, nos presenta su más reciente álbum “Oscuridad”.
Un álbum que consta de 9 sencillos y un intro en dónde se puede escuchar la voz de un joven Ángel Valdez hablando sobre sus propósitos de año nuevo.
El título “Oscuridad” nos da una premisa de los temas y sentimientos que se abordan en este álbum, sin embargo, considero que más que oscuridad nos muestra una ventana con las cortinas cerradas que poco se van abriendo a través de historias, pensamientos, sentimientos y vivencias del propio Gayo Valdez a lo largo de su vida. Es necesario aclarar que este álbum no es ligero de digerir, y como la mayoría de la música, es necesaria la repetición para lograr captar cada uno de los mensajes.
El álbum aborda temas como la decepción, la soledad, la tristeza y termina con un mensaje de esperanza. Gayo Valdez en repetidas ocasiones lanza mensajes sobre la importancia de la búsqueda de la libertad, pero haciendo un enfoque en la necesidad de los bienes materiales para salir adelante.
Esta noche es de desvelo para conseguir el pan, aprovecha tu juventud no sigas el que dirán.
No lo ves entonces créelo, esos días no volverán. Claro me encanta el dinero, ser libre me gusta más.

Gayo Valdez le da un giro al rap en México dando un enfoque más sentimental a las canciones. No tiene miedo de decir en sus canciones que hay momentos de sufrimiento y de dolor a lo largo de la vida, lo que le da una apertura a los oyentes a ser más empáticos con su proyecto y su persona.
El último sencillo es una luz al final de camino. Podemos notar a un Gayo hablando sobre su pasado, su presente y su futuro, en dónde enfatiza que aunque momentáneamente las cosas no puedan estar sucediendo de la forma en como quisiéramos lo importante es la familia y los amigos. Ese es el mayor “flex“.
