Santos Woge es una artista que busca transmitir un mensaje de aceptación, inclusión y empoderamiento. Ganadora de Talentos Ascendentes el día 03 de febrero del 2021.
P: ¿Quién es Santos Woge?
R: Santos Woge (pronunciación: vogue) es una cantautora originaria de la Huasteca Potosina que encontró en el género del Rap el camino para expresar su pensar y sentir.
P: ¿Cuál es la visión de tu proyecto musical?
R: La visión de mi proyecto es transmitir un mensaje de aceptación, inclusión y empoderamiento. Promover la diversidad en la escena del Hip Hop Mexicano. Busco experimentar con diferentes géneros, sonidos y temáticas para crear algo fresco y sincero que se pueda exportar a otros países.
R: Pueblo Chico es autobiográfica, está inspirada en lo que fue para mí tener sueños grandes siendo de un lugar pequeño. Hace referencia a las limitantes que se viven en cuestiones de educación, cultura, deporte y a las críticas a las que uno se expone al ser diferente… pero invita al escucha a superar esos obstáculos y trabajar para alcanzar sus sueños.
Para el coro me inspiré en la canción “Deja Vu” de J. Cole, que dice “She f*ck with small town n*****, I got bigger dreams”, de ahí saqué la idea “I had some big dreams for a small town kid” que posteriormente convertí a “Sueños grandes pa’ ser de Pueblo Chico”.
R: A finales de junio voy a lanzar un EP homónimo de 5 canciones, todas producidas por los hermanos Hino (@hino_bros), con 4 videos a cargo de OverMark (@overmark.mx).
“Pueblo Chico” fue el primer sencillo del EP, este 8 de Marzo voy a soltar el lyric video de “Ven Mujer”, una canción con temática feminista, para conmemorar que gracias a la marcha del año pasado me atreví a adentrarme en el género del Rap.
Para el 2do semestre estamos trabajando en colaboraciones con artistas Huastecos y de SLP, una que otra live session y ya veremos qué otras oportunidades surgen.
