LA COLUMNA DEL TÍO #04
Hoy se cumplen dos años de “Botánica” el proyecto de nsqk que ha fungido como parteaguas en el movimiento de La Escena Regia. Lanzado bajo el sello No Pedí Permiso, este EP de cinco canciones, llegaba a nosotros apenas unas semanas antes de entrar al encierro en una pandemia mundial. Las canciones tomaron vida propia y desde su laptop Rodrigo Torres se ganó la admiración y respeto tanto de la audiencia como artistas, quienes han puesto el trabajo en un pedestal desde entonces.
Parte de la magia del proyecto al día de hoy es que fue un lanzamiento verdaderamente independiente, el cuál no fue respaldado por la industria musical durante su proceso, nunca se hicieron videos oficiales del EP, no entró a ninguna playlist de streaming al menos dentro de su primer mes y no se lanzaron sencillos para anticipar su lanzamiento. Así “Botánica” se convirtió en un verdadero unicornio que nos recordó que el poder de la música y la conexión que un artista crea con su audiencia, lo puede más que todo lo demás que nos hacen creer que es más importante.
La Escena Regia desde entonces se mide con esa vara y en el tiempo desde este lanzamiento la ciudad ha demostrado que hay mucho más por escuchar y alcanzar, los proyectos que forman parte del ecosistema y que han estado saliendo adelante, siguen demostrando una fuerte inconformidad por encajar o por abordar sus proyectos como se hace en el resto del país.
A dos años de su lanzamiento, el Tío BORN cree que este clásico de culto seguirá influenciando e inspirando a nuevas generaciones de artistas, los cuales si siguen los pasos de nsqk, estarán dispuestos a arriesgarse a proponer una nueva visión de la música mexicana, retando el estándar creativo.
