Platicamos con ella acerca de su proceso y lo emocionante de darse cuenta de su vocación asi como lo que esta trabajando para el futuro.

Nombre: Diana Gamboa a.k.a. Gambie
Lugar de Nacimiento: San pedro, Torreón, Coahuila, pero vivi toda mi vida en Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua.
Edad: 25 años
Trabajo actual: Soy Directora creativa de Moda dentro de producciones audiovisuales, para artistas musicales, como marcas de ropa o dentro del cine. Me especializo en identificar un estilo para cada proyecto y llevarlo a su máximo aesthetic por medio de las prendas para lograr transmitir un mensaje fuerte y claro. Por otro lado tengo una plataforma de consultoría de proyectos de diseño, donde damos servicio de estrategias de contenido digital, Asesoría de Imagen, Producción Audiovisual y Workshops sobre negocios como creatividad, se llama “Desant” y nos pueden encontrar en ig como @desantdigital .
¿Cuáles son algunos de tus proyectos favoritos en los que participaste?
Qué difícil pregunta, me gustan mucho los proyectos en los cuales he tenido la oportunidad de ser parte, pero podría mencionar unos cuantos. Uno sería el artículo que acaba de salir en “Meow Mag” en la sección “Play me” titulado “Energía con ritmo desde la pista con Missound” donde realice el styling y la producción de la misma con mi plataforma Desant Digital, para Tania Trevillo, Dj y Productora de la ciudad de Monterrey a lado de grandes personajes, Sheila Madai encargada de la fotografía, Tiffany Quintanilla en Maquillaje y Cabello, Milton Nuñez como asistente. Fue uno de los días más divertidos y productivos ever. Lo que más me gustó de este proyecto fue la libertad de creación de concepto, donde pude explorar diferentes técnicas en las prendas y hasta confeccionar tanto como crear diseños personalizados para el proyecto.
Otro proyecto sería el video musical “Dejaste de Quererme” para “Anna Zarate” Artista de la Disquera “Worldwide Records” donde fui parte de la Dirección y Producción del mismo a lado de Michelle Hinojosa. Lo que más me gustó fue la creación del concepto porque cuando se trabaja con artistas musicales es de ley que te sabes la canción de pe a pa y la entiendes y la quieres transmitir con esos mismos sentimientos para los demás. Por lo mismo tuvimos varias sesiones creativas, que es lo que más disfruto, para crear la historia.
Por último me gustaría dejar con un proyecto personal porque es lo más importante para mi poder utilizar mi arte como medio de expresión personal, compartir con el mundo como me siento y poder ayudar a alguien que esté pasando por la misma situación que yo. Por eso comencé ahora en tiempos de covid una serie de fotografías inspiradas en mis días de cuarentena, reflexionando en cómo me hace sentir, que sentimientos me produce, hablo mucho sobre cómo vivíamos una vida super acelerada que nos olvidamos de cuidarnos a nosotros mismos, darnos nuestros tiempos como espacios de amor propio, a la vez quise expresar como la tecnología nos alcanzó y estamos revolucionando con toda la información tanto accesibilidad que tenemos estos días, we can google everything, LIT.

¿Tienes un proceso en específico para abordar tus proyectos?
Si, soy fiel creyente en los procesos, entre mejor estén preparados y desarrollados paso a paso mejor resultado se obtendrá y no quiere decir perder la chispa o lo espontáneo, simplemente es darle el valor que tiene cada proyecto, así evitar errores o confusiones, en mi caso como Directora Creativa de Moda comienzo con una sesión en meet o zoom para conocer más a fondo la idea principal tanto como al artista, marca o director de cada proyecto, segundo es realizar un brief para asegurarnos de estar en el mismo canal, como tercer paso les envió una serie de preguntas para identificar el estilo del cliente y en base a esta información poder desarrollar una dirección de imagen personalizada, como cuarto paso es ubicarnos en el mapa global tanto qué trends son las que están sucediendo, como siguiente paso se entrega una propuesta y apartir de ahi se van haciendo ajustes finales. Lo siguiente es el fitting, que considero es parte fundamental para el día de producción, así tener un mejor resultado, ya que doy una asesoría de imagen y se definen los looks finales. Por último paso es el día de la producción, llegar e instarte, planchar las prendas en caso de, ordenar los looks, sería lo primero a tener listo ese día.
¿Qué te emociona actualmente en el mundo creativo?
Me emociona la evolución que estamos teniendo con la nueva normalidad, como estamos siendo lo más creativos posibles ante la pandemia, me emociona mucho como nos estamos expresando como sociedad y compartiendo nuestras experiencias para estar unidos, la tecnología sin duda me vuela la cabeza con todas las posibilidades que está surgiendo post pandemia en el mundo creativo desde dirigir vía zoom de España a México o México a Argentina, que antes no habíamos visto explotarse de esta manera, me emociona el giro a lo digital que estamos dando.
¿Cuál fue el primer proyecto que viste y te hizo pensar “Quiero hacer eso”?
Me encanta esta pregunta, sin duda es uno de los proyectos que me presentó al mundo de producciones audiovisuales, como un click a todo mi background, fue un cortometraje llamado “Taquero” de la Directora Marcela Recio, donde fui asistente de “Sofimak”, Sofia Hernández, Fotógrafa de Moda y Fashion Stylist de Monterrey, mentora de varios años que sin duda me dejó con mucho aprendizaje. En este proyecto “Taquero” tuvimos que desarrollar el vestuario de diferentes personajes dentro del cortometraje, lo cual fue muy emocionante por el rush que se siente de que todo va muy rápido, más el equipo de trabajo del cual fui parte son personajes en la industria audiovisual que respeto mucho, como Juansa Avalos, Alejandra Guilmant, Andres Almeida y Mauricio Sanchez. Yo siendo parte de esta producción me cambio todo el juego, no lo había considerado anteriormente, recién me acaba de graduar de la Licenciatura en Diseño y Negocios de la Moda, definitivamente estaba en ese punto experimentando que es lo que más te gusta y realmente es muy bello cuando encuentras tu espacio en el mundo, recuerdo ese día dije “Wow, yo quiero hacer esto siempre” y desde entonces no hemos parado, una cosa llevó a la otra que no he dejado de sentir esa adrenalina en cada producción, me gusta mucho el romanticismo de la cinematografía, el capturar o recrear el presente, pasado o futuro inclusive. Es creatividad pura.
¿Cuales son tus próximos proyectos?
Estoy organizando un workshop teórico-práctico de Fashion Stylist con fecha tentativa el 19 y 20 de septiembre, que va ser compartir mi experiencia de 8 años en Producciones de Moda, lo que me ha funcionado a mi, consejos y muchas dinámicas divertidas, porque no hay que olvidar que la moda es eso. Quiero realmente con este workshop poder poner mi granito de arena y formar a creativos de Moda, más conscientes socialmente y llevarlos a un nivel profesional, en caso de ser principiantes, pero más que nada brindarles el espacio para que puedan expresarse abiertamente utilizando la Moda como herramienta. Muchas veces nos cuesta bajar nuestras ideas a papel y es ahí donde quiero ayudar a mis alumnos 🙂
A la par estoy trabajando un lanzamiento de colección cápsula diseñada por mi de playeras, quiero sacar como 5 diseños unisex inspirados en dibujos que tengo en mi cuaderno, más hay varios proyectos de Dirección creativa y Styling para artistas musicales que aun no puedo pasar el dato a fondo pero esperen algo super fresco, post pandemic flow por mis redes, me pueden encontrar en IG y en Twitter como @na.gamboa.
