RADAR BORN es una sección que hemos utilizado en nuestra plataforma para poder resaltar y darle un foco especial a actos que creemos que están teniendo un momento o trayectoria interesante dentro de la escena nacional. Durante el 2021 les compartimos los proyectos de Zenei, Bri¡!o, Solo Cadaver y para iniciar este 2022 tenemos a un artista de Ciudad Juarez con quien ya habiamos tenido el gusto de platicar y que ha tenido un crecimiento muy interesante desde su EP “Protohombre”.
Ervin River es uno de los talentos nacionales que han ido haciendo su nombre como uno de los artistas multidisciplinarios a ponerles atención. A través de Borderboyz, Namuju y su proyecto solista esta creando arte que esta conectando con la audiencia de la nueva escena nacional.
Recientemente, apareció en el nuevo sencillo de Gera MX y Jayrick “Complicado”, un tema que formará parte del próximo disco del CEO de Rich Vagos.

Para alguien que no conoce a Ervin River ¿Que es lo primero que deberían de saber de ti?
Nunca me ha gustado predisponer a la gente, prefiero que la primera impresión sea sorpresa, pero si en algo podemos hacer énfasis tal vez, es que produzco mis canciones yo solito desde hace mucho y es algo a lo que quiero mantenerme lo más fiel posible, créo otros artistas/productores podrán entenderme cuando digo que al final solo tu te conoces mejor que nadie y sabes como quieres sonar.
¿Ademas de tu proyecto solista que haces en Namuju y Borderboyz?
Van un poco de la mano… En Namuju es un proyecto que junto a Narses Murillo (amigo que lo quiero mucho y director) y algunos otros amigos de acá de Cd. Juárez (Nana, Olivia, Meny y Dick) desarrollamos productos audiovisuales, como videos musicales, clips, fotos, etc. ahí es donde trabajo mi parte visual y de dónde han salido la mayoría de los resultados visuales de Ervin River
Y en Borderboyz soy la mitad de un dúo de producción musical, que junto con Alberto Espinosa (Beto, que aunque nadie lo crea antes estaba en Nikki Clan) nos enfocamos completamente en la composición y producción de 0 a 100% de obras musicales para artistas de todo tipo.
Este año lanzaste tu proyecto “Protohombre” ¿En retrospectiva, ahora que ya salió que opinas del proyecto?
Ha sido hasta ahorita el proyecto al que más le he metido cabeza y estoy muy contento con el resultado y recibimiento, la gente lo hizo propio y le añadió mucho más significado de el que solo yo le pude dar, para mi de eso se trata el sacar música, cuando la lanzas ya deja de ser tuya y se convierte en interpretación, sensación o experiencia de las demás personas.
Estás en el primer sencillo del próximo álbum de Gera MX, una canción muy personal ¿Cómo sucedió?
Fue bastante orgánico y bastante inesperado honestamente, yo los sigo a ellos desde hace muuuucho tiempo y no tenía idea de que supieran que existo jajaja.
Pero todo fue así de fluido como te lo cuento, un dia estaba comiendo tacos cuando el Jayrick me hablo, me platicó del proyecto y unos días después ya teníamos la maqueta, la cancion tambien se lanzo mucho más rápido de lo que pensé y la verdad ni me dio tiempo para procesar nada de lo que estaba pasando, así de surreal todo, no me la he terminado de creer.
Agradezco por siempre a Gera, Jayrick y al equipo de RV por la oportunidad! De verdad creo que el hecho de ver por la música más allá de números, estatus o cualquier otra cosa, es algo demasiado cabrón y más ahorita. El hecho de invitar a un artista emergente a subirse a tu canción siendo tú un artista top por el simple hecho de que te gusta lo que hace, es algo a lo que muy pocos se atreven y tienen esa sensibilidad para hacerlo.
¿Que es lo más complicado de tu vida actualmente?

¿Que podemos esperar de Ervin River este 2022?
Más música, más vida y más ocasiones para conocerlos a todos en persona!!!
Jaja y hablando más puntual en cuanto a música no se si vaya a ser un EP o varios EPs o un álbum completo o varios albums completos jajaja no lo tengo muy claro porque creo que me gusta mucho esta dinámica de lanzar las cosas cuando las siento, entonces ahorita no tengo un orden, pero estoy trabajando en muchísima música que seguro va a salir este año y también van a escuchar varias producciones mías y de Beto como #BorderBoyz que tenemos ahí ya varias cosas de distintos artistas listas para que se lancen, entonces en síntesis… muchas cosas jaja un año de muchas cosas.
